Bronze SAE 65
Bronze SAE 65 is used by Mercobronze in the manufacturing of materials and parts such as bars, sheets, billets, bushings, semi-bushings, bearings and tubes. All our products receive the ISO 9001 certification and are produced by a technical team and highly qualified engineers.

Bronze SAE 65 general characteristics
Bronze SAE 65 has the following general characteristics: versatility, excellent cost-benefit ratio, excellent machinability and weldability. Also known as C90700, bronze 65 has a proportion of copper and tin of almost 90/10, respectively, as observed in its formulation:
- Cu = 88% – 90%
- Sn = 10% – 12%
- P = 1,5% max
- Pb = 0,5% max
- Zn = 0,5% max
- S = 0,5% max
- Ni = 0,5% max
- Sb = 0,2% max
- Fe = 0,15% max
- Al = 0,005% max
- Si = 0,005% max
Even in small concentrations, phosphorus influences the behavior of bronze 65, providing the alloy with better machinability, ease of adhesion, increased resistance to adhesion and greater electrical conductivity. The general characteristics of SAE 65 bronze can be summarized as follows:
