Bronze semi-bushing

Mercobronze manufactures bronze semi-bushing for the most different industrial applications and in multiple alloys, according to the needs of each customer.

Mercobronze bronze semi-bushing can be cylindrical, semi-cylindrical, with or without flange and is used by many Brazilian sugar and alcohol plants, among other setors.

Mercobronze has innovative technology in Brazil widely used in Europe and the United States, for the production of semi-bushings in the special bronze alloy called FORTBAR-181. Twice as durable as semi-bushings made from common alloy, FORTBAR-181 does not contain lead (a contaminating element) in its composition.

The casting process in a continuous system, used by Mercobronze to produce bronze semi-bushing makes it possible to obtain a more compact and uniform final product, therefore free of porosity. With this technology, it is possible to produce bronze semi-bushings capable of withstanding the highest levels of rotation, load and friction requirements.

Continuous casting also allows eliminating secondary processes in the production of bronze semi-bushing, generating greater productivity and millimetric precision in the width, length and walls of the designed parts.

The special alloys developed by Mercobronze to produce bronze semi-bushing have as their main benefit the reduction of industrial maintenance costs. Increasing the service life of the semi-bushing means increasing the replacement period of parts, keeping equipment in operation and uninterrupted production for longer.

In addition to greater durability and lower operating costs, the milling semi-bushing and bushing produced by Mercobronze in the FORTBAR-181 alloy are perfect for the food industry, as they do not use lead in their composition.

The food industry in Europe and the United States are prohibited from using lead alloy parts in their equipment. Instead, they use the new alloy, already developed and produced in Brazil by Mercobronze

Shape and lubrications of Semi-Bushing for Bearing

The bronze semi-bushing, bearing semi-bushing or semi-bushing is manufactured by Mercobronze with or without tab (flange), according to specification and fitting structure, with dry lubrication (graphite insertion), based on oil (mineral or vegetable) or grease.

Bearing semi-bushing processes and alloys

The bearing semi-bushing is produced by Mercobronze using continuous, centrifugal and die casting systems. In continuous casting, bearing semi-bushings are made with a higher volume demand. In centrifugal or die casting, orders of few parts are produced.
